The Ploof Process

A Glimpse Behind the Seams

Read about our extensive process to learn more about what it takes to create a Ploof, from the initial design to your favorite plushies.

The Blueprint

Concept

Our Ploof concept art team crafts initial sketches to capture the essence of each character. Once a sketch is selected for its perfect representation, it is refined and presented to the creator, IP holder, or character owner for approval. Typically, this stage includes several rounds of revisions based on their feedback and critiques.

3D Modeling

Following approval of the concept art, our concept art team transfers the color guide and turnaround files to our 3D modeling team. The initial 3D model is then created and sent to the creator, IP holder, or owner for review, ensuring it meets their expectations and our standards.

Prototype Sample

Once the 2D artwork and 3D model are finalized and approved, our design team collaborates with the Ploof manufacturing team to produce a prototype. This crucial step allows us to assess the physical appearance and feel of the Ploof before mass production.

Mass Production and Quality Assurance

As production progresses, our quality assurance and quality control teams meticulously inspect each unit for any defects or inconsistencies. After successful quality checks, the Ploofs are packaged and sent to our warehouse, ready to be shipped to customers.
